| Short Art Biography | |
| Starting in grammar school I was known as "The artist," but it was not until I was in the eleventh grade that I decided on art as my life's work, and pleasure. With that decision I skipped a semester in high school, and after a year at Los Angeles City College, I enrolled in Otis Art Institute of Los Angeles County, now known as Otis College of Art and Design. I graduated from Otis with an MFA in 1966.
Since then I have worked as an artist almost full time. I have had regular solo shows, as well as exhibiting in numerous group shows and competitions. I have executed many commissions mostly for banks, hotels and aerospace companies, plus several wedding portraits. I have had over twenty solo shows including three solo museum exhibits: one at the Carnegie Museum, Oxnard, CA, 1989 and at the Brand Library Gallery, Glendale, CA, 1985 and The Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum in Santa Barbara. Other solo shows have been in London, England; Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, Montecito, Venice, Beverly Hills, Morro Bay, Orange and Santa Barbara, California and in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have also shown in over fifty group shows in places such as Grand Rapids Michigan, Dahran, Saudi Arabia, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, Montecito, Venice, Beverly Hills, Morro Bay, Orange and Santa Barbara, California and in Las Vegas, Nevada. Museum group shows include those at Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles Municipal Gallery, Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane, Australia and. For over forty years I have been expressing my thoughts and emotions in painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. I have been listed in Who’s Who in American Art, , Jacques Cahell Press, NY since 1986, Marquis, Who’s Who in the West, since 1997 |
