Paintings, Drawings, Photography & Sculpture
A California live oak on Santa Cruz Island, CA

“Imaginary Realizations” is a sampling of Lawrence Wallin's work of the past few years. Given a smaller selection of Lawrence Wallin's work, one might think they were viewing a “group show”. In this larger body of work, several themes appear which tie the pieces into a total “Oeuvre” of a contemporary master. Wallin addresses these themes by utilizing abstraction and representation in several different mediums and styles. Much of his work is a celebration of the Arts, especially Dance, Drama and Music. As an example, in this exhibit the movement and grace of dancers are shown in realistic Paintings, abstract Drawings, Bas Relief and three-dimensional Sculptures. While he has chosen no single style or medium to embrace his dynamic subject range, this diversity and multiplicity of artistic treatments fully addresses the complex set of Wallin's themes.

The show includes:

Paintings of landscapes, the Renaisance Faire, Venice, Italy and more.

Colored drawings of couples dancing.

Photographs of Hawaii, Venice, Prague, Machu Pichu, flowers and nudes.

Sculptures of figures
&
Two Small monotypes

The show was curated by William Fedderson
