Sacred Place

	A selection of photographs of this unique place. Machu Picchu is one of the few Inca sites not found by the Spanish conquistadors. Therefore it was not destroyed as was everything they did find. Machu Picchu is in amazingly good shape considering it is in a major earthquake region and was overgrown by jungle for 500 years. That cover saved it, hiding it from the Spanish, as our guide called them, "occupiers" and other looters. Click here to see the show
